Terms & Conditions
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms govern your use of TribePeer at tribepeer.com, the TribePeer mobile app, and related services such as TribeMeet calls, TribeMate, and institution tools. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. Who can use TribePeer
You need an account with a valid email address. You must be able to agree to a contract. If you are under 18, you may use TribePeer only with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms. You are responsible for keeping your login details private.
2. What the service includes
TribePeer is a social learning platform. Depending on your account, you can:
- Create a profile, connect with peers, and post on the timeline.
- Join or run tribes, including lessons, quizzes, and assignments.
- Use communities and forums, and send direct messages.
- Join voice calls in messages, communities, and forums. Some of those calls can include screen sharing.
- Host or join a TribeSpace: a timeline audio room that can be public or private, start now or at a set time, and keep a recording and a written summary.
- Use TribeMate, our learning assistant, within the free monthly allowance or a paid Unlimited plan.
- Apply to be a Tribe Owner, fund a wallet, and pay for plans through our payment partner.
Institutions may also use Campus, a website widget, or the partner API under a separate arrangement.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post, upload, or say. You give TribePeer permission to host, display, and process that content so the service can work. That includes showing a post to the audience you chose, delivering a message, playing a call recording on a TribeSpace, and sending text to TribeMate to draft a reply or a meeting summary.
Do not post anything you do not have the right to share. Do not upload unlawful, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or material that infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove content or limit an account that breaks these terms.
4. Calls, recordings, and TribeSpace
- A public TribeSpace can be seen and joined by signed-in members. A private TribeSpace is only for the host and the people invited by TribePeer handle. Hosting a private TribeSpace requires an active TribeMate subscription.
- TribeSpace calls are audio only. They are recorded automatically. The recording and the summary stay on that space for the people allowed to see it.
- Community and forum call recordings follow the controls shown in that call. A summary there is available to the host when their TribeMate plan allows it.
- Do not record or share a call outside TribePeer unless the other people have agreed.
5. TribeMate
TribeMate can draft posts, answer questions, and summarise a recorded space. Answers can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for how you use them, especially in teaching, graded work, or anything you publish. Free use is limited each month. Unlimited is a paid plan billed in Nigerian naira through our checkout. A subscription renews only for the period you buy. We may refuse or stop a request that breaks these terms or our technical limits.
6. Payments
Wallet top-ups, TribeMate Unlimited, Tribe Owner fees, and institution plans are charged in the amount shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment partner. If a payment fails, the related feature is not activated. Contact support@tribepeer.com about a charge you do not recognise. Unless a law requires otherwise, fees already used for a delivered digital service are not refunded.
7. Other people
You can block or report another member. We review reports, but we do not promise a particular outcome or a particular time. You must not harass, impersonate, scrape, or try to break into another account or our systems.
8. Availability
We work to keep TribePeer available, but calls, AI, and payments depend on networks and other providers. Features can change, pause, or end. We are not liable for loss of learning progress, earnings, or data beyond what the law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence where the law forbids that.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using TribePeer and ask us to delete your account from settings or by emailing support@tribepeer.com. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, creates risk for other people, or is required by law. Some records, such as payment receipts and safety logs, may be kept for as long as we need them.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continued use means you accept the update. Questions go to support@tribepeer.com.
